« Je fais la pause. J’en peux plus ». En fin de première semaine de « continuité pédagogique », les enseignants sont épuisés. Pas facile d’ailleurs de les contacter. Pas parce qu’ils sont aux fraises. Mais parce qu’ils sont en plein travail, harcelés de messages par des élèves qui veulent des réponses tout de suite. Patricia Labarde, professeure au lycée René Cassin de Gonesse (95) et Philippe Sallet, qui enseigne au collège René Cassin, cette fois-ci à Baume-les-Dames (Doubs) ont tout juste installé leur rituel que déjà ils s’interrogent sur ce que sera le retour à l’école…Tous deux expérimentent la classe virtuelle. Impossible de s’en détacher…
De Pronote à Youtube
« Les profs font comme ils peuvent ». Dans ce lycée d’une banlieue populaire, comme partout, rien ‘avait été anticipé pour la continuité pédagogique. Patricia Labarde, professeure au lycée René Cassin de Gonesse (95), se débrouille pour assurer le suivi des élèves avec les outils disponibles.
« On a des consignes pour utiliser les outils officiels. Mais ils ne sont pas très efficaces », estime t-elle. Elle utilise Pronotes pour dialoguer avec les élèves et leur donner du travail. Mais elle a aussi créé une chaine privée sur Youtube où les élèves peuvent voir le cours. « Je me suis dit que c’était l’occasion d’utiliser un média très prisé des élèves. C’est aussi un challenge et une nouvelle façon d’entrer en contact avec les élèves ». Elle concède que c’est aussi un moyen de retrouver le cours et la classe.
Avec les travaux envoyés par Pronotes et sa chine vidéo, Patricia avance dans le programme. Mais elle ne croit pas possible de faire une évaluation pour le moment. « Si ça dure j’envisagerai un travail noté ».
Le problème de ce lycée populaire c’est les décrocheurs. En seconde un tiers à la moitié des élèves ne renvoient pas de travail. Un taux trop important alors que peu d’élèves n’ont pas d’accès Internet. Quand le lycée rouvrira « il faudra bachoter à mort en classe d’examen », prévoit-elle. « Les élèves auront pris des habitudes. Les enseignants auront modifié leur façon de faire la classe. La crise sanitaire va changer pas mal de pratiques pédagogiques », pense t-elle. « Il y aura la prise de conscience qu’avoir un professeur en classe c’est mieux que de l’enseignement à distance »..
Entretenir le lien social
« Au départ on a improvisé », nous dit Philippe Sallet, professuer d’histoire-géo au collège René Cassin de Baume-les-Dames (Doubs). « On a ciblé des outils entre collègues et décidé que le point de départ serait Pronotes. C’est là qu’on indique le travail à faire ». Mais Philippe s’est adjoint deux autres outils : Moodle pour les échanges avec les élèves et Ma classe à la maison pour une classe virtuelle hebdomadaire. A cela s’ajoutent , comme pour Patricia, les innombrables messages des élèves qui attendent une réponse immédiate.
« La classe virtuelle c’est parce que l’enseignant ne doit pas seulement créer un lien pédagogique. Il doit entretenir le lien social avec les élèves. « Ca reste une classe ». Ainsi la semaine est rythmée avec un cours en début de semaine avec du travail qui est corrigé en milieu de semaine et la classe virtuelle en fin de semaine.
Au collège le souci est là aussi le décrochage. « Certains élèves ont disparu du radar scolaire mais pas des réseaux sociaux ».
Alors qu’il reste probablement un bon mois de confinement, Philippe pense au retour. « Il y aura des protocoles de travail numérique bien installés. J’espère que tout ce qu’on aura fait aura servi aux élèves pour avancer. Ils seront devenus plus autonomes ».
